Victoria Shen

Victoria Shen is the Director of National Industrial Relations and Counsel at the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) and Management Co-Chair of the Section 21 Health and Safety Advisory Committee.  She oversees the administration of CMPA’s collective and independent producer agreements outside of British Columbia and Quebec.  She represents members in labour disputes, participates in collective bargaining negotiations, and advances labour-related government relations.  She is a human rights and labour lawyer. 

Prior to joining the CMPA, she worked at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre, Ministry of the Attorney General – Office of the Chief Diversity Officer, and UFCW Local175 and 633.  Her litigation experience includes labour arbitrations, applications before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and appeals on WSIB, EI, and CPPD. She is a committee member and former board member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival, and President of the Chinese Canadian National Council, Toronto Chapter.  She has law degrees in Common Law (LLB) and Civil Law (BCL) from McGill University and a BA in Semiotics from the University of Toronto.
